雷霆队是从2008年的西雅图超音速改名而来，现在的当家球星是杜兰特和维斯特布鲁可，又名雷霆双子星，现在是nba联盟之中的当红球星.杜兰特是2007年的榜眼秀 那年超音速队把原来的人和球星全部换掉 换到了几个高顺位的选择权，那一年也从西雅图搬到了okelahoma。正式更名为雷霆，然后那一个赛季的雷霆队的战绩也是一塌糊涂，都快为联盟倒数第一，在经过一年的磨练，雷霆队又回来了，在这些年轻人的不懈努力下，雷霆队最终进入了季后赛，那一年还差点把冠军的湖人队拉下马，又过了一年雷霆队就以联盟强队的身份重归。这一年他们横扫了一切强队来到了西部决赛，但不抵冠军小牛队，最终铩羽而归。今年现在已20胜领跑联盟。
